I have been exploring the changes to DotNetNuke 5 and noticed that the Map module does not work in 5.0. When you go to edit the settings the following error occurs.
Method not found: 'Void DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions.Process
ModuleLoadException(System.String, DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase, System.Exception, Boolean)'.
I downloaded the Map Module source and found that all that was needed was to recompile the module for DNN 5.0.0.
I recently found basicstate.com. BasicState is a great (especially since it is free) web site uptime and performance monitoring service. Â The service doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles. Â It just provides a single service very well. Â BasicStats can send email or text alerts when DNS or a web site is unavailable. Â The service maintains a history and can email a daily report or show trends in graph format. Â The history is great for explaining actual downtime to clients. Â Â

Not having any formal graphic design experience I stumbled across an important number in design, 1.62. 1.62 is The Golden Ratio and design elements using it are more aesthetically pleasing. If you are a non-graphical web developer like myself, you may find the The Golden Ratio in Web Design interesting.  You may also want to check out the 960 Grid System. It is a CSS framework based on the golden ratio.
I found the CSS-Framework that Mike Stenhouse put together to be very interesting and wanted to try and theme it. I am not at all a graphics designer and learned a great deal while putting this together.
